People Tree collaborates with V&A for 1930s glamour

Model for People Tree V&A

People Tree's latest artistic collaboration is a capsule edit with the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The frill top (£75), ruffle skirt (£89), gathered dress (£139) and jumpsuit (£125, and our favourite) all feature a tulip print pattern, based on a dress fabric from the 1930s. Originally by the Calico Printers' Association in Manchester, the fabric now has a home at the V&A's extensive archive.

There's a 30s vibe to the collection, which is all made by Creative Handicrafts, a People Tree Fair Trade producer partner in Mumbai, India. It's a social enterprise which works to empower disadvantaged women of the slum communities in the area.

What's more, each V&A piece is made from Tencel, a slinky, eco-friendly cellulose fibre made from wood pulp pioneered by ethical brand People Tree.
