If you dream of cycling the globe (or even just beyond your daily commute) this might spur you on: a travel journal designed specifically to help cyclists record their adventures.
Printed in East London with biodegradable inks on recycled paper and secured with a natural, fair trade rubber band, the Cycling Travel Journal is filled with illustrations, motivational quotes, recipes and a world map to inspire you.
Perhaps more importantly, it has lots of room for your own writing and drawings, contact details for new friends met along the way, a guide on how to draw your own personal travel map and envelopes to store mementos.
Currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, the idea for the journal came about after innovator and cyclist Claire Mason biked over 20,000 kms from London to Japan. After meeting with artist Ania the project came to life.
"I wanted to capture the details of the journey before they faded from memory, the eccentric and wonderful people, the delicious food, the strange places I slept, and how I felt whilst pedalling day after day," says Mason.
Here's the campaign video (which will make you want to get the bike of the garage).
There's an early-bird special pledge price of £20 for the journal which also includes a lovely seed paper postcard that can be planted in the ground to grow wildflowers. There are also opportunities to have your own bike trips immortalised in art by Ania.
