The makers of WingLights360 call it 'an engineering masterpiece' which is high self-praise indeed, but this new design of bicycle indicator light does look pretty clever.
The new gadget from CYCL – which won funding for its first design on Dragons' Den – is intended to give cyclists 'all-round visibility', especially when turning. There's a permanent light function, with white (front) and red (back) LEDs highlighting the dimensions of the cyclist so drivers can see them, but with a little tap the lights turn into direction indicators with flashing orange LEDs.
Now available on Kickstarter (from £35), WingLights360 can apparently be fully charged via USB in under half an hour, is waterproof and shockproof, and is held in place on handlebars with strong magnets. A pretty safe bet then.
