The UK will be home to the world's largest offshore wind farm, with enough capacity to power 1.8 million British homes.

With a gigantic 1,800-megawatt capacity, the 300-turbine Hornsea Project Two is to be built around 89km (55 miles) off the Yorkshire coast.

"Britain is a global leader in offshore wind, and we're determined to be one of the leading destinations for investment in renewable energy, which means jobs and economic growth right across the country," says Business and Energy Secretary Greg Clark, who gave the project development consent.
