Coffee run: grounds recycled into activewear

Sundried coffee yarn tees

Activewear brand Sundried has created the ultimate caffeine hit: a T-shirt made from recycled coffee grounds rescued from local coffee shops.

Coffee yarn – made from used coffee grounds diverted from landfill and mixed with material from recycled plastic bottles – actually retains coffee's natural UV-blocking and odour-controlling properties to give the pieces extra oomph for outdoor sports like running, as well as yoga and gym training.

Sundried has partnered with the Low Carbon Innovation fund to ensure a tiny carbon footprint and the new collection is made in Portugal and Italy.

The coffee tees are available as Olperer in men's sizes (£40) and Grivola 2.0 in women's fit (£50).
