New indie skincare brand XO Balm has launched this week, offering a flagship product designed to treat eczema, contact dermatitis and dry skin without prescription medication.
The British start-up's titular XO Balm (£12.50/45ml) is made from just four ingredients – coconut oil, chia seed oil, olive oil and beeswax (so it's natural but not vegan) – cooked up by CEO Charlotte Libby to treat her own contact dermatitis. It's free from preservatives, sulphates and fragrances and leaves a matte finish on the skin.
It's suitable for use on the face, body and hair and comes packaged in reusable aluminium tins with an applicator and mirror for on-the-go use.
XO Balm says it supports Oxfordshire bee conservation charity Give Bees a Chance and UK businesses in its supply chain.
