Lush's flagship Oxford Street shop now stocks the beauty brand's solid, plastic-free make-up line.
This summer Lush was busy releasing new make-up products packaged without plastic, containing vegan-friendly and organic ingredients. Yay! But the Glow Sticks highlighters and Slap Sticks solid foundation blocks were limited edition and only available online. Boo!
So the news that these beauties (and more) are now out in the real world in London's Oxford Street is very good. Slap Sticks foundation (pic below) is available in 40 shades and three undertones, so it'll be much easier to choose your perfect shade IRL.
The make-up products are made with fair-trade ingredients sourced from community co-operatives that support public amenities like literacy classes and dentists.
Lush Co-Founder and Product Inventor, Rowena Bird, comments: "My brief to everybody involved in making these products was to include: shea butter, argan, moringa, and aloe. All four would be lovely, but at least one of them should be in each product because all of these ingredients support women's co-operatives or education."
Lush showing off its new cosmetics line at a free all-day #LushMakeup event on December 4th, featuring new releases, one-to-one consultations and make-up artist masterclasses.
Also, rather excitingly for Lush lovers in the Midlands, a massive new Lush shop – and spa! – is about to open in Birmingham.
