Lush puts its party face on with naked lipsticks

Model for Lush lipsticks

Lush really has been spoiling us with its vegan-friendly, plastic-free make-up recently, but these have definitely grabbed our attention: 40 new vegan, naked lipsticks designed to fit inside conventional lipstick tubes to reduce packaging.

Containing broccoli seed oil, of all things – Lush says it's flavourless and rich in fatty acids, therefore ideal for hydrating lips – the lip colours have been developed in response to customer demands, so expect nudes, greiges and reds.

Lush naked lipsticks Linz

The naked lipsticks (£8.50 each) are the right size to pop into any standard-sized empty lipstick tube you might have lying around – they come wrapped in a wax casing that can be peeled off – or you can buy packaged versions (£13.50 each) containing plastic which can be recycled after use as part of Lush's Black Pot Scheme.

The 40 shades are available at Lush shops on London's Oxford Street and in Birmingham, and online.

Lush Snow Fairy Glowstick

And that's not all. Lush's super-fun Glow Stick Solid Highlighter gang has a new member: the limited edition metallic pink Snow Fairy, perfect for winter bling. This soon-to-be party favourite (above, £11.95 each) contains extra virgin coconut oil sourced from Nias, Indonesia which helps to fund social amenities. Skin-hydrating Snow Fairy also boasts 'a sugary, candyfloss sweetness', says Lush, which sounds just perfect.
