MARU makes a splash with plastic-battling swimwear

MARU Swimwear has launched a new range of performance one-pieces made with Econyl, a nylon fibre made of 100 per cent recycled plastic. The UK sports brand has also partnered with the Sea Life Trust and will donate all profits from the new Black Pack range to the global charity.

Econyl is made from pre and post-consumer waste scooped out of the oceans, including ghost fishing nets, bits of nylon and even carpet fluff. All this plastic causes havoc when it first enters the seas, and when broken down into micro plastics can get into our food chain too.

MARU's Black Pack comes in four styles (£36.99 each), all sharp, sporty and very leisure centre-friendly.
