The biggest-selling lip balms are usually made of petroleum, which not everyone is into. But now there's a handy plant-based alternative to soothe fans of more natural products.
Beauty Kitchen has launched Natruline, a natural lip treatment in a little (and recyclable) tin. Apparently it had a waiting list of 4,500 before its launch this spring and Beauty Kitchen says that it's been outselling the leading petroleum-based lip products in some shops.
There are two varieties (£2.99 each): Beauty Kitchen Natruline Vegan Lip Treatment which contains castor seed oil, castor oil and carnauba wax – which the brand says let the skin breathe better than petroleum jelly – and Beauty Kitchen Natruline Lip Treatment which contains all that, plus beeswax.
