REN harvests ocean plastic for kelp skincare bottle

REN Atlantic Kelp And Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash

You're pretty green, right? But how grey are you? REN is now using grey-tinged recycled plastic in some of its skincare bottles, including 20 per cent plastic reclaimed from the ocean.

The skincare brand explains that it's teamed up with recycling pros TerraCycle for the new bottle which, unlike fresh plastic, is a bit cloudy. It's as safe as virgin plastic though – Co-Op is using it for its water bottles.

Along with a metal-free pump, it's all part of REN's goal to be a zero-waste company by 2021, which also includes using 100 per cent recyclable packaging and refillable containers.

Inside the grey bottles you'll find Atlantic Kelp And Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash, as an homage to the sea.
