Stag expands handmade range with 'gloriously British shaving set'

Stag shaving set

Disposable razors? Pah. What you need is a barber-style single-blade razor in a British yew wood handle, handmade in a small workshop in Cheshire by an artisan called Steve. If you're ditching single-use plastic, go luxury.

Stag has followed up its 2017 crowdfunding campaign with the launch (also on Kickstarter) of a whole shaving set. Sticking with its promise to deliver 'Britain's best shave', the collection now includes a shaving brush and bowl, both handmade from yew.

Each bowl is unique – and very pretty, with its Stag head logo – and contains a natural soap in a selection of scents. The shaving brush has synthetic bristles with the brand says is both more ethical than animal hair and provides a smoother lather.

If you buy a set, it also comes with a year's supply of shaving blades with delivery expected for December – is it too early to think about Christmas presents?
