Superfruits and citrus cleanse and restore in new Flora & Curl haircare

Flora & Curl Cleanse Me African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Shampoo

Citrus oils, aloe vera, coconut, superfruits – it all sounds like a very nutritious mix. The latest shampoo from Flora & Curl is all about natural cleaning with therapeutic benefits for curly hair, and the bets are on that it smells amazing too.

The citrus oils in Cleanse Me African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Shampoo, along with Moroccan argan oil, aloe vera and sweet almond oil, balance the the scalp and add shine to the hair while coconut and wheat proteins clean and strengthen. The brand says it's all about natural care for textured hair without sulphates, silicones, parabens, alcohol or animal products.

Rose Ovensehi, Founder of Flora & Curl, breaks it down: "Harsh detergents in conventional shampoos can often strip hair of its natural oils and dry the scalp.

"Check product labels for harsh ingredients to avoid such as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES), Ammonium Lareth Sulphate and Myreth Sulphates and Isopropyl Alcohol, as these can leave locks feeling parched, leading to dehydrated and more fragile ends.

"It’s always important to read your product labels so that you can have a better understanding of what goes into your hair."
