Last week we covered the relaunch of Will's Chelsea boots and Luxe Derbys in new, more sustainable materials. Now the vegan shoe brand has gone a big step further and announced it is officially carbon neutral.
The Carbon Neutral Protocol – the framework for working out these things – has designated both Will's Vegan Shoes as a company and all of its products A-OK in terms of CO2.
That covers the manufacturing of its cool animal-free shoes, boots and accessories, to what happens in the warehouse, to the delivery of the shoes to your door, and even returns if they don't fit. It's down to investment in renewable energy projects, which offset any CO2 emissions.
Meanwhile, Will's has launched its new menswear range – the Continental Collection of Brogues and Derbys in brown, tan and black – featuring insoles made from recycled rubber, linings made from organic bio-oil, and packaged in non-treated shoeboxes.
