Ben and Jerry's releases dairy-free ice creams in USA

Ben & Jerry's non-dairy ice-cream

Ice cream wunderkinds Ben and Jerry's has unveiled new certified vegan versions of their famous Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chunky Monkey flavours, plus two exclusive dairy-free desserts: Coffee Caramel Fudge and PB and Cookies.

Featuring all the sweet treats associated with Ben and Jerry's, the new ice creams aren't for those avoiding sugar. Chunky Monkey contains fudge chunks, banana and walnuts, Chocolate Fudge Brownie is full of brownies from Greyston Bakery, Coffee Caramel Fudge is offered up with chunks of fudge and swirls of caramel, and the PB and Cookies flavour is packed with vanilla and chocolate sandwich cookies and crunchy peanut butter swirls.

Made with almond milk, the new dairy-free line has already won vegan and lactose-intolerant fans in the USA, where pints ($5.69, around £4) are now available. So far it's unclear whether they'll make it to the UK.
