Iced tea, hold the sugar: Good & Proper Tea makes a refreshing cuppa

Good & Proper Tea iced tea

Ice tea sounds like an incredibly good idea in hot summer weather, doesn't it? So refreshing! Until, that is, you check out the sugar content. Pre-mixed ice tea tends to have rather a lot of sugar and very little actual tea, so it's nice to see Good & Proper Tea's alternatives.

The London brand's three new teas (£5.50 per pack) are packed with flavour to be served chilled without sugar (or alcohol – unless you're really into making your own Long Islands).

The hibiscus blend combines caffeine-free tealeaves with rosehip and ginger root for a zingy cold brew – serve with a wedge of lime – while the iced rooibos tea also contains zesty orange. For a chilled caffeine hit, the green tea blend contains jade tips and lemon balm, lovely with a sprig of mint.

Good & Proper Tea says its teabags are 100 per cent compostable, while the tea itself is sourced 'from farms and co-operatives around the world'.
