New vegan meal service packs in protein without the meat

Sixpax vegan meal

Sixpax has put together a new vegan high-protein meal plan, offering people who are training to build muscle with nutrients without the meat.

Cooked from scratch in Dorset and delivered to customers' doors, the meals (from £140 for the 1,800-calorie, six-day plan) contain animal-free protein from nuts, tofu, beans, pulses and green vegetables.

Sixpax notes that a lot of high-protein diets designed to build muscle and reduce fat contain lots of red meat and poultry, which can cause sluggishness (not ideal for a workout), can be harder to digest and can put pressure on organs including the liver.
