You can #WakeUpToOrganic on June 14th with over 10,000 mini organic breakfasts going begging across the UK (you may have to share).
You can find a free organic breakfast at Riverford Field Kitchen and Le Pain Quotidien stores, plus cookery demonstrations at Liverpool's new organic market, Brighton Open Market and Whole Foods Market in London.
In all, over 250 shops and retailers are getting involved, making it a pretty big event – reflecting the growing demand for organic produce.
"More people than ever before are choosing to buy sustainably-sourced, organic food, and one of the main reasons for this is that it reduces their exposure to pesticide residues," says Catherine Fookes, Campaign Manager for the Organic Trade Board, which is organising Wake Up to Organic.
"To feed the UK's growing appetite for organic food, we urgently need to increase the availability of organic products, and that means convincing retailers that organic should be a key part of their sales strategy.
"Wake Up To Organic gives retailers the opportunity to shout about their product range and raise awareness of the benefits of switching to organic."
Essentially, if you want more organic food, it's up to you to tell shops about it. Use and follow #WakeUpToOrganic online to check out the goings-on.
