There's a new flooring company on the (wood) block, which says it is sustainable and artisan. Root sources the materials for its wide plank and parquet engineered oak wood flooring from Italy, and uses only natural oils and water-based varnishes.
"Root uses carefully selected wood chosen and cut by artisans with years of experience using advanced equipment and techniques to produce the finest degree of flooring," says Darren Hopkins, Founder of Root. "All of which is extensively laboured over to not only last, but also achieve a beautiful finish."
The flooring is available in eight colours including white, black, grey and natural wood tones and in Prime (not very knotty), Classic (getting knottier) and Rustic (featuring 'all the glorious knots and quirks such as mini splits').
