For anyone dreaming of spending this glorious summer somewhere new and on a budget, ITV has a new series for you: £10K Holiday Home. In it, Julia Bradbury discovers properties overseas and in the UK bought for under £10,000 and renovated them to create little pieces of paradise.
However, what's more exciting (for upcycling fans like Clearly) is what Max McMurdo is up to while Julia's busy, namely getting inspired by people who've turned things like motorhomes and boats into holiday retreats for under £5,000. He'll also be attempting to build his own.
Here's what Max said when we chatted earlier this year: "£10K Holiday Home [...] is all about upcycling things like caravans – which are a scourge because they are made from a lot of materials all stuck together that can't be recycled. Saving a caravan and reinventing it is real upcycling and that's what excites me. It's going to be amazing."
£10K Holiday Home starts on Tuesday August 7th at 7.30pm.
