Friends of the Earth calls on Blondie to support pollinators

Celebrity endorsement can be a bit meh, but we're all about Blondie's support of something much bigger than a cool brand: the survival of the world's bees.

The rock band's latest album is called Pollinator and Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, et al are throwing their whole weight behind the Friends of the Earth campaign to deliver the Pollinator Recovery Act under US law, helping bees to survive.

Why? "Basically, my motives for supporting pollinators is survival, survival of us all, survival of the human race," says Debbie Harry. Chris Stein chips in:
"You can thank a honey bee for one-third of your diet." Rock solid argument there.
