Pukka Herbs to spend Black Friday sales on planting trees

Here's some brighter Black Friday news: Pukka Herbs will be donating 100 percent of purchases made on its website this weekend to TreeSisters, a charity that plants trees around the world.

The campaign is a continuation of Pukka Herbs's anti-Black Friday ethos; last year its online sales went to charities in its native Bristol. The organic tea brand is also a member of the 1% for the Planet business alliance and just this month launched a 'Smart Boiling' campaign to urge tea-drinkers to only boil as much water as they need when making a brew.

Pukka Herbs CEO Karel Vandamme comments: "Our health and that of the planet are intimately linked. In the cases of man-made deforestation, we are destroying the very ecosystems that nature has designed for cleaning up excess carbon dioxide that is warming our world. As highlighted in the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, 'unprecedented changes' are required to reduce our carbon impact."

Pukka Herbs says 100 percent of purchases made via its website between November 23rd and 26th November will go to TreeSisters.
