Micro Galleries aims to demonstrate that art is for everyone, and its inclusion in public spaces can enhance a community's feeling of ownership and involvement in its environment.
The international art project is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter for a two-week installation in Graz, Austria, bringing the idea to Europe for the first time.
Taking place from July 29th to August 8th, 50 artists will descend on the city for Micro Galleries's free series of workshops, walking tours, discussions, open-air galleries and projection installations 'to reactivate and reclaim this small section of Graz and bring art and ideas to the community'.
The Kickstarter rewards are pretty cool and include Skype workshops on the subject of your choice, a book of the artists' favourite recipes and a micro-documentary made on your own life. The promotional video is pretty sweet too:
