Run for the trees: get set for Westonbirt Arboretum's 10k

Westonbirt 10k

Here's a running event with a difference: rather than a bleary-eyed jog through a town on a Sunday morning, the Westonbirt 10k passes through a fabulous Grade I registered landscape in Gloucestershire.

The route goes through Westonbirt Arboretum's ornamentally planted areas and a native woodland. Scheduled for the evening of May 24th, it sounds like a pretty perfect way to get active and enjoy British springtime.

Free entry (normally £14/£16) is available for runners who commit to fundraising for Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum, which does all sorts of work including research into the impact of climate change on trees, running education and community inclusion programmes and managing the woodland.
