Tel Aviv expecting 150,000 for world's largest vegan festival

Tel Aviv

Over 150,000 people are expected to attend this year's Vegan-Fest in Tel Aviv, Israel – said to be the largest vegan festival in the world.

Taking place on September 2016 at the city's Yarkon Park, Vegan-Fest will include TED lectures on topics including sports, spiritualism and feminism, a holistic and therapeutic area, performances, food, and fashion and cosmetic stands.

Tel Aviv's vegans make up between five and ten per cent of the city's population – as this video states – and has been named the number-one destination for vegans by the Daily Meal.

Tickets will be available online closer to the event.
